Interior design of a sushi restaurant located in Kagurazaka. The floor is divided into a dining and a corridor by a large rammed earth wall that expresses the owner's history as a stratum, and both sides are contrasted with each other. We tried to give a character to the place and to create various kinds of places in the restaurant by the composition of elements with characteristic shapes and textures, such as the shiki-gawara floor, the massive black plaster polished wall, and the lattice ceiling which is inspired by the image of "shitomido" (a traditional Japanese door).

神楽坂に位置する鮨店の内装計画。店主のこれまでの歩みを地層として表現した大きな版築壁によってフロアを鮨舞台と通り土間の空間に大きく分け、その両側を対比的な設えとした。敷瓦の床、量塊感のある黒漆喰磨きの壁、蔀戸をイメージした格子天井など、特徴的な形や質感をもつ要素の構成によって場所に性格を与え、店内に多様な場所性を生み出すことを試みた。
